Watercolour is a fascinating medium to use. It is in many ways more challenging than acrylics or oils to use because of its rapid drying time. Its advantage lies in the close interaction that each drop of paint makes with the paper, from smooth surfaces to rough fibres. The texture of the paper allows for precise detail or generates a diffuse sparkle. Watercolour can produce a delicacy of work that would not be possible with other media.

Latest news: I am exhibiting in Hertfordshire Open Studios this September along with Stuart Grieve and Vitreus Art (otherwise known as Jenny Timms and Mike Caddy). Visit us in the Meeting Room, Wendover Library right by the town centre car park. (Open Saturdays 2.30-7pm, Sundays 10am-4.30pm). More information here.
