Luminosity

Luminosity-Acrylic Painting

Please feel free to browse around at your leisure. There are several galleries here for you to enjoy. To enter use the links on the menu (left). The first four galleries are photographic. Water (Abstracting Aqua) and Lifeforms (Flora and Fauna) depict the patterns of nature. Landscape(Rural Reflections) and Citylife (Urban Visions) capture images from our rural and urban environment. I also have galleries for encaustic work, watercolours and acrylic paintings. Later this month I will add a mixed media gallery showing work which includes the fusion of photography and encaustic work.

I work in whatever media I feel that the subject demands: encaustic waxes, acrylic, watercolour, photography, metal leaf. Art should not be constrained by a particular technique but  enhanced by it. One subject can be interpreted in a myriad of ways-each as valid and unique as the other.

Often I will combine several media to give each piece of work its unique finish. Each technique can feed into another. Working in mixed media is always exciting because the results can be so unpredictable.
